New Specialties wines.
Tradition, Innovation and Passion: a taste of Santa Carolina’s new era.
The Santa Carolina´s "Specialties” family is composed by wines that come from new terroirs were the grapes are in perfect balance with the soil and climate.

Our Specialties Carignan - Dry Farming 2008 comes from Cauquenes, where the vineyards are more than 80 years old. Irrigation is not needed due to high development of the vines root system.” The rain during fall season is enough to ensure water supply to the plants and the sun ripens the grapes perfectly over the long Chilean summer.
Andres Caballero, Chief winemaker at Carolina Wine Brands says: - “It has red ruby color with purple hue. In the nose it opens up with plenty of blackberries and blueberries with violet floral notes. In the palate is complex, with round tannins and well balanced acidity. It is fresh, with elegant and persistent finish.

The Specialties Sauvignon Blanc - Ocean Side 2009 is from our vineyards in San Antonio coastal area located in the central coast of Chilean Pacific Ocean. The vineyards face the sea and receive all the influence from the biggest ocean in the world. Cool breezes refresh the grapes; cool mornings with warm afternoons are the perfect combination for concentrating flavors and aromas.
The rocky soils give well balanced acidity and minerality for a fresh, crispy and fruity Sauvignon Blanc.
“It has a bright pale yellow color with greenish hue. It is intense and fruity in the nose with notes of citric fruits and a touch of fennel. In the mouth it has a nice mineral character rounding its fruity character, fresh and crispy acidity. Grace and elegance for a long lingering finish”, says Caballero.

Our Specialties Malbec – West Andes 2007 comes from La Rinconada vineyards, located in the heart of Cachapoal Valley near Rapel River. It receives just enough cool maritime influence to create warm , but not hot climate ideal for this full bodied , fruit forward Malbec.

When tasting this wine, Chief Winemaker Andres Caballero says: “It has deep garnet color with bluish hue. It is complex and elegant in the nose with notes of dark plums and anise. In the mouth presents ample round tannins, with soft lush structure, primacy of black ripe fruit with well integrated notes from wood. It has full body and distinction for a long everlasting end”.

Now, with a renewed winemaking team and focused in new terroirs and varieties, we are proud to announce this new line of wines which reflects the very essence of Chile
